Once the seal is broken our milk should be treated like all other milk and must be refrigerated to retain freshness. All opened milk should be consumed within 10 days or should be discarded. This product has a long shelf life provided it is unopened. It should be stored at room temperature or cooler as extreme heat may cause the milk sugars to caramelize (Maillard Effect) causing the milk to turn a brown color. Product that has caramelized will not cause any illness or bodily harm. Our product is run with a 10 month pull date and all expired milk is safe to drink provided the carton remains unopened.
